What can you expect from ThePoliticalReader?

Before we launch on July 3rd, many of you may be asking what can you expect from this new blog?

Well, in the next two weeks, we'll be running a series of competitions to promote the blog and help build a community of political bookers before we launch. You can enter our first competition, to win a copy of The Prime Ministers Who Never Were, by following us on Twitter (@PoliticalReader) - the prize winner will be drawn and announced on July 3rd.

But over the next two weeks, we'll be running plenty more competitions and offering you the chance to influence the books that we'll be reviewing. So keep clicking back and follow us to Twitter to keep up-to-date. Our next competition will started when we hit 100 followers on Twitter, so follow us now to find out what it is!

But what about when the blog launches? Every Sunday, we'll be publishing a comprehensive review of a new political book and invite readers to make their contributions to the book of the week too. On top of that, I'll be reviewing classic political texts (everything from Immanual Kant and Georg Hegel to John Rawls and F. A. Hayek) whilst suggesting the best books currently available on certain topics of interest. Additionally, we're keen to invite guests reviews from interested readers (fancy writing a review of TPR? Get in touch at thereader@thepoliticalreader.com).

Our first Sunday review will be The Cracked Bell: America and the Afflictions of Liberty, a fascinating insight into America from a British Social Anthropologist who worked at the British Embassy in Washington. Why not read this book and make your contribution to discussion? Click here to buy.

Plenty to look forward to. Follow us on Twitter for all of the latest updates in the build-up to our big launch on July 3rd, and then click back here for the most comprehensive reviews and analysis of political books available in the UK!

Yours,
TPR
