Coming up this week...

The Political Reader blog launches tomorrow and in our first week we'll have a flurry of reviews and recommendations about some of the best contemporary and classic political works every politico must read. Here's what's coming up in Week #1.

On Sunday, we'll be launching this blog with our in-depth Sunday Review of Tristram Riley-Hunt's The Cracked Bell, a focus on how liberty could be at the centre of "the American crisis."

On Monday, we'll reveal the title of our next 'Sunday Review' so, for those of you who want to, you can read the book and join in the discussion next Sunday.

Tuesday will see the first of our 'TPR Recommends' sections, outlining some of the key books to read if you want to understand a certain topic of politics. For our first suggestions, we'll be suggesting books on Britain's coalition government.

Our first TPR Classics review will appear on Wednesday, with a short summary and explanation of what a key political text can tell us about modern politics and why it still matters today. This Wednesday, we're starting with Immanuel Kant's Perpetual Peace.

Thursday will see the publication of TPR's Short Review, the focus of which will be a book that you can read in an afternoon. Check back here on Thursday to read our thoughts...

On Friday, TPR Recommends returns with some of the best books to read if you want to understand current President Barack Obama and begin forming an opinion on whether he will win in November 2012.

Finally, on Saturday we do this all over again and let you know what's happening in the week ahead!

I look forward to you joining us as we launch our testimony to political books.

Yours,
TPR
